Dear Sir or Madam,
since I developed a passion for computer science during my studies and also got the chance to enhance my knowledge regarding machine learning during my work experience, I am open for new positions in the fields of data science and machine learning.
Currently, I am working as a software developer for Magna Powertrain in the automotive sector. Additionally, I had the opportunity to achieve a doctorate degree in cooperation with the Technical University of Darmstadt. I completed my research successfully in February 2024.
At Magna Powertrain, I had the chance to leverage my skills in agile software development (Scrum), particularly with regard to the Python and C++ programming languages. As a software developer, I develop functions to predict and influence the behavior of the powertrain of battery-electric vehicles using information from the vehicle’s route planning. In addition, I develop control strategies to distribute the torque of the powertrain with Matlab/Simulink.
My doctorate study helped me gain knowledge in terms of machine learning and data science by developing a novel approach to automate the calibration of vehicle control unit parameters. For this purpose, it was necessary to automate the evaluation of measurement data from the vehicle. The novel approach was able to find an optimum for this task faster than existing approaches (such as genetic algorithms or reinforcement learning) and can therefore save costs during vehicle development.
Outside my professional scope, I use my acquired knowledge and try to further deepen it. For instance, to automate tasks, I have set up various Python tools. In addition, I acquired knowledge in Javascript, Typescript and React from several web projects.
As a feature owner within a new E/E vehicle architecture and as a supervisor for undergraduates, I was able to gain leadership experience.
I would appreciate the opportunity to contribute my knowledge and to broaden my perspective in machine learning and data science within a new position.
Don’t hesitate to contact me for further information.
Sincerly,
