Forward-looking, inquisitive Postgraduate in Biotechnology with a long-term experience in research and SOP writing. Experience during my educational and professional tenure encouraged me to explore my interpersonal skills, notably, assertiveness, adaptability, leadership skills and effective communication.
As a Research Associate at the Centre for Bioscience and Nanoscience Research, I was responsible for laboratory management by ensuring laboratory sanitation, media preparation and tracking reagents on a daily basis. With my literature studies and analysis, I was able to standardize reagents and protocols for bacterial
DNA isolation, PCR amplification and Nanoemulsion. I assisted in evaluating research papers for scholars and conducting workshops for interns. An opportunity as a National conference committee member prepared me to take up organizational and leadership roles.
My experience at Cognizant as Junior Researcher speaks for my computer and communication skills, where I implemented excel formulas for task allotments. To explore parallel dimensions, I joined as an intern at
SchrÖdinger to bridge the gap between research and data analysis. A team of eminent scientists encouraged me for independent research and I was able to present a research proposal for repurposing the antibodies for
Alzheimer’s disease and the treatment gaps. With this, I contributed to a protein-protein docking and molecular dynamics trial and benchmarked poses for prospective projects.
With unintended, life-threatening evolutions taking place in this world, Biotechnology has a great potential to completely change the prospect of treatment. Interest and curiosity for mutations and their impacts on life forms propelled me to take up Biotechnology as my career. In my Master’s project, I explored molecular characteristics of RecFOR genes in D. indicus against heavy metal stress.
Besides my academic growth, I am developing my life skills by participating in health and elderly-care programmes through JRC and NSS.
