I have a passion for Operations Research (OR) with my focus area being in the field of transport simulation. I am eager to expand my knowledge and skill set in the broader context of OR:

understanding and applying mathematical and analytical methods to help make better decisions in complex systems.

I balance my working life with outdoor activities like hiking, cycling and exploring new coffee shops in our neighbourhood with my wife. I am as consistent regarding my health as I am in my work: since arriving in Germany I have trained and competed in Olympic weightlifting which I occasionally alternate with CrossFit.

As Research associate for the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. I am developing the Multi-Agent Transport Simulation (MATSim) framework with the focus on emissions modelling.

As Assistant lecturer for the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Pretoria, South Africa, I was coordinating the bachelors module Engineering Statistics and assisting in the courses: Industrial Analysis and Simulation Modelling. Supervising eight final-year engineering projects in data science.

Masters Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, specialising in transport simulation.
