 Server Management

Using Windows server 2019 active directory and group policies .

Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.

Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.

Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations.

1. Network Administration: 

Design, implement, and manage computer networks, including LAN , WAN and VPN .

Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches , Load Balance , and firewalls ( DreyTekVigor and Fortigate )

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network resources.

1. User Account Management: 

Create, modify, and delete user accounts and access permissions.

Manage user authentication and authorization systems.

Implement security measures, such as password policies and multi-factor authentication.

1. Backup and Recovery: 

Develop and implement daily backup for servers and monthly backups for any work related data and information .

Develop disaster and recovery plans.

Regularly back up critical data and ensure the ability to restore systems in case of failure.

Test and validate backup and recovery procedures.

1. Security Management: 

Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

Monitor system logs for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents.

Install and configure security software, such as antivirus programs ( Kaspersky ) and intrusion detection systems.

• Virtualization:

Set up and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware ).

Create and administrate virtual machines to optimize server resources.

Monitor and troubleshoot virtualized environments.

• Email System Administration:

Configure and maintain email servers and services.

Manage email accounts, distribution lists, and spam filters.

Monitor email system performance and address email-related issues. 3

• Hardware Maintenance:

Currently respoinble for 200 desktops and laptops running on 5 different networks

Diagnose and resolve hardware issues for servers, workstations, and other devices .

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing hardware components.

Coordinate with vendors for warranty support and equipment replacement.

• Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Create system diagrams, network maps, and other relevant documentation.

• Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with other IT professionals, including developers, network engineers, and security specialists.

Communicate effectively with end-users to provide technical support and address IT-related issues.

• Compliance and Policy Enforcement:

Ensure systems comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.

Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a secure computing environment.
