Tom Jarrett

Thomas is a 2D Animator and Director who is known for experimenting with lines, shapes and color to bring a psychedelic and playful aesthetic to his animations. He does so by using a unique hand drawn frame by frame technique combined with after effects. His focus is bringing alive a mind bending vision, heavily influenced by 90’s MTV cartoons, metamorphosis and unique transitions.

Tom is recognized for his inspiring animated effects, merging animation and live action with an innovative blend and taking viewers on new unexpected journeys.

I am a 2D animation Director from London, currently based in Barcelona. I have been freelancing 2D animation since I graduated University in 2014 and I am currently represented as an animation director by Dreambear animation studio in Brooklyn, New York. I also run a collective of 2D animatiors called Spaceducks.

I have previously animated and directed over 17 fully animated music videos and have directed 20 lyric videos and many more corporate pieces of work. Working closely with Universal music, Sony and Warner, some of the bigger names I have directed for include Foster the People, Justin Bieber, Robbie Williams, Miles Davis and Don Diablo.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2D Animation from Middlesex University, a foundation degree in Illustration from Norwich University of the Arts and a BTEC in Art and Design from Rochester college of Art and Design.
