Letter to the host family

Hello I am Maelie and I would like to be an au pair to discover new things and new horizons. I would like to take care of children in a family and help with daily chores while being able to discover and immerse myself in the culture of South Korea. I am an artist, I like to make music, sing, paint, design clothes but what I like most of all is dancing and I don't want to stop this passion.

I only wish I had time to dance and discover Korea. I am an energetic and smiling person, I like to make everyone feel like they belong and I like to spread happiness around me. I hope we can get along well.

I have already babysat my mother's friends' children, I work in an elementary school where I teach children to read, I also help them with their homework, we do creative workshops. I work in this school since September 2022 and until the beginning of July 2023. I decided to become an au pair because it is a good way to discover a country at a lower cost and to get in touch with the local population.

You can also follow your own pace by taking care of a family and having people to guide you. My goal is to figure out what I want to do later if I can't thrive in dance, so what better way than to travel and meet new people and cultures? I have never traveled as an au pair but I work in a school.

I teach children to read and all other things in the school program.
