I am an MA English and Creative Writing graduate with editorial experience, including roles in the University of Dundee's student magazine and work experience at Jasami Publishing. I possess acute attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and an excellent command of English spelling and grammar. My extracurricular activities, such as basketball, have honed my teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills, ensuring that I can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Summer 2023: Marketing and Editorial Work Experience at Jasami Publishing, Glasgow:

• Worked on book promotion, gaining awareness of marketing and social media engagement while developing my teamwork skills and creative thinking.
• Edited a short story, paying attention to the characters’ voice and the author’s style to maintain consistency of tone.
• Grammar, spelling, and punctuation checking.

2021– 2024: Part of the editorial team of The Magdalen Magazine, Dundee

2023 – 2024: Deputy Editor-in-Chief

• Proofread the articles' final drafts, making sure the writing complied with the magazine's style guide.
• Ensured consistency of formatting and design in the final draft of each issue.
• Managed a team of editors, writers, and designers, set deadlines and answered questions and queries.
• Filled data in Excel spreadsheets.

2022 – 2023: Managing Editor

• Collaborated with the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors to ensure all deadlines were well-communicated and fulfilled.
• Oversaw the writing and editing process of multiple sections and did final checks of the articles before they were passed on to the Editor-in-Chief.

2021 – 2022: Copyeditor of the International Section

• Developed attention to detail through editing articles’ second drafts, which included: proofreading, correcting grammar and spelling errors, and improving the text’s engagement and coherence.
• Improved my time management and organisation skills as I had to meet tight deadlines.
