I am a second-year LLB (Hons) Law student at Teesside University with experience in both customer service and care roles. Through these positions I have developed strong communication, organisation and professional skills, alongside the ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments. I am a confident and reliable person who enjoys working with others and taking on new challenges.
I am particularly interested in building a career within the legal profession and gaining experience in professional environments where I can continue to develop my skills.
Care Worker at Germania House (2023 – Present)
I currently work within a residential care setting supporting elderly residents with their day-to-day needs while helping to maintain a safe and positive environment. Through this role I have continued to develop strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, whilst balancing work alongside my university studies. Working in care has strengthened my patience, professionalism, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Community Carer at Hand2Hold (2022-01 – 2023-12)
As a community carer, I supported elderly and vulnerable individuals within their own homes, assisting with medication, meal preparation and personal care. The role required strong time management and the ability to work independently across multiple locations. Through this experience I developed confidence communicating with a wide range of individuals and learnt the importance of empathy, professionalism, and reliability.
Salon Assistant at Glow Tan Centre (2021-01 – 2022-12)
Working within a busy customer-focused salon environment allowed me to develop key communication and customer service skills through daily interaction with clients. I handled payments, managed bookings, and supported the day-to-day running of the salon. Over time, I was trusted to independently manage shifts, which helped build my confidence, responsibility and problem-solving abilities.
Hospitality Staff at Huntsman Pub (2019-01 – 2020-12)
Whilst working within a busy hospitality environment, I gained valuable experience communicating with customers and working effectively as part of a team. The role helped me develop confidence working under pressure whilst keeping a friendly and professional approach.
