Abigail Owen

I am 18 years old and currently completing work experience at Weird Creatures, where I have developed a wide range of skills through hands-on tasks and responsibilities. My time there has allowed me to strengthen qualities such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability, while also gaining confidence in a professional environment. Outside of work, I value spending quality time with my family and enjoy socialising with my friends, often playing Xbox together as a way to relax and stay connected.

I also take pride in caring for my cats, which has taught me responsibility and patience. I am now eager to take the next step by finding a job where I can apply my existing skills, continue learning, and grow both personally and professionally.

I have achieved a Grade 3 in Maths and a Grade 4 in English, which has given me a good foundation in essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, and written accuracy. Alongside these, I hold a Level 2 Distinction in Animal Care, where I gained in-depth knowledge and practical experience in areas such as animal health, welfare, handling, and husbandry. This qualification reflects both my dedication to learning and my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations.

Together, these achievements show that I have a strong academic background combined with vocational skills that can be transferred into a wide range of roles.
