My name is Ablaye Ndour and I am Design Engineer for a cleanroom company in the UK. I have always had a great intrigue for creativity and from a young age began drawing and exploring many mediums of art. I have an Architecture degree whereby I have undertaken international work experience in Sri Lanka and Senegal (details on CV). After completing my studies I worked for a Telecommunications firm for 2 years whereby I developed my CAD skillset within the infrastructural engineering industry. I then transitioned to working with a glass construction company as a CAD Technician. This role provided me with greater responsibility and enabled me to learn about the drawing requirements of construction and fabrication. I now work for a cleanroom company called Guardtech, specialising in bespoke cleanroom spaces for clients of various industries.
Engineer role consists of many more responsivities due to the scope of requirements for each project. These consist of all design and drawing duties such as spatial planning, layouts, elevations, sections, in addition to maintaining communication with clients, liaising with suppliers for orders of construction products/materials and site surveys utilising a 3D scanner.
At present, I have strong aspirations to work in East Africa within a similar design-related position and reciprocate the experience, knowledge and expertise I have gained over my career. I am entirely open to a wide spectrum of opportunities within the same field and would be more than willing to relocate with short notice.
Kind Regards,
I have professional experience as an Architectural assistant working in an Architectural and Engineering firm in Dakar Senegal (known as Oscare Afrique). I also have extensive experience working as Design Engineer in telecommunications, designing sites for network upgrades for phone companies such as Orange and EE. Following this experience I worked within a glass construction company that required more detailed and consistent CAD work for construction and fabrication.
I now work as a Design Engineer for a cleanroom company that consist of a multitude of dynamic duties and has enabled me to take complete ownership of an entire project.
My recent education occurred throughout my years at Hertfordshire University (2016-2019) whereby I completed my Bachelors of Architecture degree. Following this experience I have completed various examinations and courses for my Design Engineer roles.
