Geotechnical Design Engineer (Offshore Wind) at Ramboll.
Holds a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey in Seismic Analysis and Design of Offshore Wind Turbines (OWTs). He has specialised in the design and analysis of monopile and jacket foundations in seismic regions. He is involved mainly in marine geotechnical engineering, focusing on seismic designs of OWTs, geotechnical investigations, soil sampling and testing, interpretation of soil data, and pile driveability analyses.
He continues to actively contribute to the offshore wind field through research and development. Dr Amani previously worked as an Experimental Officer and Research Assistant at the SAGE Laboratory of University of Surrey, involved in the offshore wind research and development projects. Dr Amani also previously worked for DL E&C (DAELIM Industrial) at Singapore for the geotechnical and structural construction of Tuas Terminal Port and Harbour development project.
Passionate about contributing to geotechnical engineering projects, particularly those related to bottom-fixed wind turbine foundations. Inspired by the innovative ideas surrounding floating offshore wind farms.
Design and Analysis of Offshore Wind Turbines Foundations, Seismic Design and Analysis, Automating/Tool making for Geotechnical Engineering Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), PISA method, Laboratory Soil Testing, Pile Driveability Assessment, Monopile and Pin-pile jacket design and Suction bucket caisson design.
