For my role as a carer I was responsible for physical care, making sure pills were taken on time, that doctors' appointments and hospital visits were attended, getting dressed, washed, I also aided with daily practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, shopping, emotional support and a calming influence on really tough days.

In my position I was part of a team responsible for welcoming guests and arranging a seating plan at mealtimes ready for service. As well as serving meals, I also worked behind the bar preparing and serving drinks. Ensuring the public areas were clean and inviting was among other responsibilities.
General housekeeping would also be required, and any other tasks would be completed to an excellent standard and a timely fashion at the request of management. This role enhanced my skills and made me appreciate team working skills, customer service skills and working outside typical work patterns.

In my position I was part of a team responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring all luggage was received and delivered to the correct rooms. Keeping the public area presentable for the guests was among other responsibilities. I was responsible for financial transactions undertaken at the reception and ensured the cash balanced at the end of the shift. Other duties would be requested from management and completed to an excellent standard to tight deadlines.
