Volunteer fundraiser - Human appeal - Leeds

The HA organization did a tour around the uk including Leeds in aim to raise money for the Pakistan flood. The corporation helped spread awareness and raise money for humanitarian aid. 10,000 tickets were sold at Leeds direct arena. During my time with human appeal my job was to help attendees find their way through the arena and help individuals with their needs.
I distributed donation forms, provided water, and encouraged contributions towards the beneficial cause. I worked as apart of a team where we followed instructions on where to position ourselves and how to professionally conduct our roles. I managed the cash donations responsibly and explained the payment procedure.
This experience helped me develop my skills in teamwork and communication which is crucial when working in a large venue with generous amounts of people.
Student work experience – SEED project - Leeds City Academy - Leeds

During my project with SEED, I collaborated with others to form a team to create a product. Our job was to manage budgeting, identify our target audience and present our final project to our peers. I learnt to make wise financial choices to increase the quality and the amount of profit whilst staying within our budget. Presenting our final product increased my confidence in public speaking. I worked with my teammates to overcome any challenges we faced whilst meeting the deadline.
Student work experience - event planning project - Leeds grand theatre / Leeds City Academy - Leeds

I joined my peers to organize a show in the theatre. We were given a budget and was in charge of making major decisions on how the funds would be divided between the actors, set and production. We researched what quality of theatre best suited our allowance to maintain financial sustainability. This experience allowed me to reflect on my personal strengths and areas for improvement.
