My name is Aishah Asghar and I’m 23 years old. I am willing to work hard, work flexibly, gain qualifications, and build on the general skills developed through my work experience. I am a quick learner, and I am keen to learn and succeed am reliable, punctual, and always strive to meet deadlines and take pride in my work. I am an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual.

Key Skills and Abilities I have is that I’m able to speak and understand other languages such as Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. Also, the ability to take the initiative and work well under pressure, ensuring strict deadlines are met.

Store manager; Barista - Chai green

I did a kick start scheme in Chai green for 6 months and then ending up working in chai green for more than a year. I needed to make coffees, tea, mocktail and server customers. From this my Barista skills improved and my communication , time manager skills improved too.

In this job , I enjoyed working in a busy environment and talking to customers. A year later I became a store manager and looked after the in and out of the stores, did admin work on the side. I really enjoyed the admin side of the work and learnt a lot of new skills.

Waffle box

I worked in a dessert shop, and my role was to make dessert and take orders. In this job, I needed to make several types of desserts and make coffee / tea, which help me improve on my barista skills and dessert making skills. Overall, I learnt a lot of skills and learnt how to use the tills and deal with hard situation with customers. Also, learn about how to do stock up if anything is running out. Overall, I improved and gained a lot of such as communication skills and team working skills.

Supervisor - Majestic

I worked in Majestic, which is a wedding hall. The roles I did was serving food, looking after the customers, cleaning up and showing the customers around the hall. I was a supervisor, so my role was to make sure everyone was sorted out before the wedding, call customers, and make sure all the waiters know what to do and where they are working. I love working in a busy place and enjoy speaking to customers.

Hope and will

I worked in hope and will, which is a charity that help deaf children. The job was about going to door to door asking for people to sign up. In this job I developed many skills such as team working and communication skills. Also, my time management skills improved as I needed to knock certain

Apprenticeship - Sunshine Day nursery

I done a nursery apprenticeship in Sunshine Day nursery and learn how to do lesson planning, observation, children report and many more stuff. I learnt different method and lesson activities to do with the children. Overall, I gain more knowledge and skills for a nursery teacher and learnt day to day work for a nursery teacher. I enjoyed working with the children a lot and loved seeing them developing their stills. Apprenticeship February 2021-November 2021 (have not finished it)

Working with professional scientist - Coventry university

I have completed work experience and projects to improve my skills in Physics such as taking part in Nuffield research placement, which involved working alongside professional scientists. From this I have improved my time management skills by giving in work before the deadline. Also, my team working skill has improved from this work experience.

Teaching assistant - BGGS

During my work experience placement, I had the opportunity to work with a math department in a secondary school. This has really helped me to gain a real insight into the world of work, because it has enabled me to understand how to communicate with others effectively. This has immensely improved my communication skills. Also, one of the roles was helping out special need students.

Looking after the children - The village community nursery

My role was to look after the children and play around with them. Also, I needed to teach them the number up to 10 and ABC and I had a great time teaching them. The role I learnt is how to communication with different people and how to adapt myself to different situations.

Traineeship - laugh and learn nursery

I did a traineeship course for nursery teacher. It was 7 weeks long course, 3-week classroom based, and the 4 weeks was work experiences in a nursery placement. I did my work experiences in laugh and learn nursery and gain skills and methods, when working with children. I improved on my lesson planning skills, teamworking skills and time-management skills.
