I am currently a registered PA working in psychiatry in an acute female ward Since January 2023. I am one of the first PAs to work in EPUT and have shaped the role of a PA.
Since being a PA student in 2020, I have always wanted to work in primary care as a career. I am passionate about the difference I make to patients which is supported by my previous experience as a carer and podiatry assistant.
I am a warm and friendly individual who works well within a multi-disciplinary team. I am confident to communicate my ideas, concerns and queries to my team as well as listen to others and their input.
My current role as a PA includes caring for the physical needs of our 18 patients aged 18-70. This includes: Clerking, history taking, physical examinations, diagnosing, managing acute and chronic illnesses, bloods/cannulation/wound dressing/ECGs, referring and conveying with other medical professionals and MDT meetings.
I am passionate about the difference I make to patients which is supported by my previous experience as a carer and podiatry assistant. I have a good worth ethic which is also reflected in my continuation of work throughout my life.
I am a qualified and RCP registered Physician Associate from November 2023. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications at Anglia Ruskin University.
