I have many years experience fixing and maintaining hydraulic equipment, ranging from; rexroth swash plate pumps, Ingersol rand compressor pumps. GEM 80 PLC controlled hydraulic systems, Moog servo valves, rexroth proportional valves, slip in logic cartridge valves, large cylinders, gearboxes, motors and manifolds.
As a shift fitter I was responsible for the management of 16 hydraulic power units. Being the first person of contact on pump breakdowns and hydraulic failures, I would be required to identify and isolate the issue, whether it is a pump failure, a pressure leak or control valve issue. This would often result in full strip down of hydraulic pumps and equipment.
As the hydraulics are responsible for most production processes, getting the hydraulic equipment back online was a time and money sensitive situation. Often having to work in high pressures intense situations where my skills and knowledge were put to the test.
Working in this environment for ten years has given me a wealth of experience that I wish to explore and develop in the industry.
