Working in small but busy corner shop since the age of 16 has been a great experience, however, I am now ready and excited to pursue a job opportunity that matches my passion which is science.
My current job has required me to be reliable and punctual, covering short-notice sickness and carrying out different roles. I have excellent communication skills and always maintain an optimistic and positive attitude in the workplace. I would like to apply these qualities to a job that I am more passionate about.
I also have a full UK driver's license.
I have worked with AF Blakemore in my local Spar shop since the age of 16 and have continued to do so for 5 years alongside sixth form and university. I started out as a butchery assistant, handling food and following health and safety procedures. When I turned 18, I also took up the role of a sales assistant which meant working more face-to-face with customers. To this day, I still work both roles meaning the job requires me to be a flexible employee.
I finished Tollbar Sixth form in 2019 with 3 A-levels in biology, chemistry and psychology. I used these A-levels to progress to the University of Lincoln to study a BSc Hons in Forensic Science. I have recently completed my third and final year and am waiting to graduate in September 2022.
Throughout my three years at university, I have studied and passed variety of modules including analytical chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology and more. Assessments for the modules were also varied including laboratory work, using Microsoft with IT skills, presentations etc and these are skills I would like to take forward into a new job opportunity.
