Lunchtime Supervisor - THE WILLOWS PRIMARY SCHOOL - Stoke-on-Trent

My job is to go to my reception class and line my children up. I then take them down to the dinner hall and assist them with picking their dinners and seeing them to a table in the dinner hall. I help open their drinks and cut up their food; I go to each table and talk to the children.

Once they've finished their food, I disregard their food trays and we Line up. I walk the children back down to their pegs to get their jumpers/coats and we go outside for play time. I keep an eye on the children at playtime and make sure nobody gets hurt, if someone was to get hurt, I provide first aid.

When we're outside, I help the children build dens, search for bugs, climb the equipment, drawing on the whiteboard, cooking in the mud kitchen. Being there with them, showing them that I am there with them. It's important to join in.

Play Worker - Happy Hours Childcare - Stoke-on-Trent

Before and after school playworker- I look after the children and do activities with them in the mornings and when collecting them from school. I help the children before school and then take them down to their classrooms after they've had breakfast. I then prepare snack ready for the afternoon and then collect the children from their classrooms and bringing them up to after school club ready for snack and activities we have planned until they go home.

I also care for the children daily, some children need personal care, and we are there for the ones that need it. when it isn't school time, we open as holiday club.

I would stock take the groceries and make a note of what was needed for the kitchen, I would then order them. I prepared and made meals from scratch to feed the nursery. I also made desserts for the children, and I got creative with them on special holidays. At Christmas time I would prepare and make from scratch a Christmas lunch for the children and staff.
