I work as a support worker, providing compassionate, person-centred care to individuals with diverse needs—including those with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. My role involves supporting day-to-day living, promoting independence, and ensuring that clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. I’m experienced in working within residential settings and adapting support to suit each individual’s goals and circumstances.
I have over five years of experience working as a support worker across a range of care environments including residential homes, community outreach programs, and supported living services. I’ve supported individuals with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, and mental health conditions. My responsibilities have included assisting with personal care, managing medication, providing emotional support, and facilitating daily activities and appointments.
I'm well-versed in safeguarding practices, de-escalation techniques, and using care plans to deliver personalised, holistic support. I work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams to promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
