I have worked in hospitality since the age of 15 and have become very confident in all areas of the industry due to the variety of jobs I have had. I love bartending, especially cocktail making, and thrive in fast paced environments! I am also barista trained and have am capable of pouring draft beers and ales.
I am passionate about sport, especially netball, and have picked up additional teamwork and communication skills from this.
My varied experiences make me a well-rounded asset to any team.
Bar Staff – The Barge and Quarterdeck (June 2024-September 2024)
This is a summertime job that includes the making of multiple cocktails and pouring pints on a busy outside bar in Stratford Upon Avon. Here, I help take orders and keep the place organised; whilst working in a team to optimise productivity and customer service. I enjoy the fast paced environment here as well as producing a variety of drinks at a good standard to serve to the customers.
Retail Catering – Liverpool Football Club (December 2022-December 2023)
My primary responsibilities included serving food and drink to high volumes of customers at speed within the grounds during match days. I worked here for the second half of the 2022/23 premier league season. As a result of my success at Anfield, I also undertook the role of bar staff at the Grand National (April 2023 and 2024).
Bartender/waitress/host - Everyman Cinema (September 2019-September 2023)
I worked here for 4 years and have found it to be very teamwork and customer service oriented. For example, as a bartender I mastered the ability to multitask with making cocktails, coffees, and other drinks for busy screenings. I also would be put in charge of small teams to help the shifts run more smoothly.
My confidence also increased through the need to do welcome speeches for the films in front of up to 200 people at a time. My work here also has opened my eyes for the need to be flexible and open minded when coming into work to get the most out of a shift.
Checkout Operator – Tesco (September 2020-September 2021)
This job included me constantly engaging with customers and therefore improved my communication skills. The job also gave me more insight into the retail world and the need to work efficiently and accurately.
Kitchen Porter - ’33 The Scullery’ (October 2018 to April 2019)
This was my first work experience and it taught me time management and communication.
I am currently a 3rd year student at the University of Liverpool, completing a 4 year MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Before this, I completed my a-levels at Stratford Upon Avon School. These were in Mathematics, Physics and Sociology and I achieved a B, C, A in these subjects, respectively.
