I have a lot of experience in Social and Supported Housing. In previous employment working for East Riding of Yorkshire Council I managed a patch of approximately 800 mainly rural properties, managing allocations, lettings, neighbour disputes and ASB. I was lucky in this role, as I was able to take advantage of the local authority wanting me to university, where I gained a BA in Housing Professional Studies.
The role also gave me a very good knowledge of partnership working, where I made working relationships with partner agencies.
In a recent role working as a Housing Manager for Myspace Housing Solutions, I managed 8 HSOs (Housing Support Officers) who supported vulnerable tenants in their home and supporting tenants maintain their tenancies. I this role I gained a fantastic background and reputation for improving employees performance and knowledge of housing law and legislation.
I have over 25 years experience in Social and Supported Housing. I worked for East Riding of Yorkshire Council for over 20 years and since then I have been employed in Supported Housing.
