I am a seasoned Mobile and Web Developer and was recently and notably a Solutions Developer for Standard Bank Group subsidiary Stanbic IBTC Bank. I led a team of over 10 developers in React Native and Redux Development while working with the Middleware and BackEnd REST API teams. The role also exposed me to business interactions whereby I was part of the team tasked with receiving User Stories from the Business Division and creating Software to accomplish the various goals outlined from the various stakeholders.
The last few months, I successfully completed a contract role in Full Stack Development whereby I built a module for a company to connect users to various CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Hubspot and Pipedrive, and also facilitated the rewrite of their APIs from AWS Amplify to a custom GraphQL, Typescript and React project.
From my extensive technology management experience, I hope to be able to share my unique perspective coupled with my seasoned technology skills to help push the company forward and also innovate in the ever adapting tech landscape. My UI/UX skills also lend a strong aid towards ensuring all deliverables have a polish to help the underlying technology shine.
My Bachelor Degree was a BA in Computer Science, double Minor in Mathematics and Fine Arts from GWU in Washington D.C.
My Masters was a BSc in Computer Science: Software Systems from Columbia in New York. Professionally I have been in Software Development since my MSc for the past 7 years.
I believe my diverse and unique skillset and experience will aid me in being a great addition to the team and I hope to earn a chance to prove this.
