Hello, I’m Drew. I have worked in the gardening and grounds industry for 8 years. At home I have two boys, one who is nearly 4 and the other who is 1. In my personal time I like to relax by either fishing or playing a round of golf. On Monday nights I play darts, a good place to socialise and have fun.
I held my own gardening business for two years on the island before deciding to cease trading and go as an employee in the industry. Upon leaving the business I went into work at Woodside bay as a groundskeeper in May 2021. In August 2025 the opportunity arose for me to advance to supervisor of the grounds department at Woodside bay which I took. I am still the supervisor of the grounds department to this time.
I have an NVQ level 2 certificate in horticulture from the Isle of Wight college and also a city and guilds certificate for use of a manually fed woodchipper. I shall also be completing a PA1 and PA6 weed spraying course this month in Guildford to help further my horticultural skills!
