About

I am hard working and committed individual who has decades of experience of fine joinery and furniture making. I have completed several of my own house renovations, completing tasks from plumbing to electrics to plastering and carpet laying. I have experience of making and fitting my own solid wood sash windows and replica-Victorian front doors.

Experience

Workshop Manager at Chalkhouse Kitchens (2013-01 – Present)

I have been the Workshop manager at Chalkhouse for over 10 years, I am responsible for managing the 4 staff, including creating and explaining cutting lists for bespoke kitchens and furniture. I also use CAD extensively to draw kitchens and furniture to a very high standard, liaise with the suppliers and reps and manage the books for quotes and supplies. I have over 25 years experience of making and designing bespoke furniture and wooden products and fitting them into customers homes.

Workshop Manager at Greenheart Kitchens (2008-01 – 2013-12)

In this role I aided the designer with technical advice and drawings, created cutting lists, fitted the kitchens and made the bespoke pieces being asked for.

I first started this role as an apprentice following my college course. I remained on after the apprenticeship ended and rose to Lead Cabinet Maker – staying in post until the business dissolved. Tasks included making furniture such as doors, tables and sideboards.
