OCTOBER – DECEMBER 2023 DIRECTOR / ANIMATOR, HARROGATE FOOD ANGELS – MEALS ON WHEELS ANIMATED PROMO VIDEO
- My first freelance project working under my own business.
- Harrogate Food Angels is a Meals-on-Wheels service run by Harrogate Neighbours, where they provide food for elderly people suffering from dementia, isolation or just can’t leave their houses.
- The video is about an elderly lady named Doris who lives in isolation while suffering from dementia. Things get brighter for her when Robin, a food angel, delivers her food and company.
- I developed and produced nearly everything in the video. Alongside help from the producer, Sue Cawthray, voiceovers from my dad, music from BeatNinja and live action segments filmed by Shahzaib Yaqoop.
JULY – SEPTEMBER 2023 COMIC COLOURIST / COMIC ANIMATOR , “TIM AND BASH“, AD ANIMATIONS
- Through another university internship, I worked on AD Animations’ webcomic “Tim & Bash”.
- I coloured and shaded panels on Photoshop using brushes given to me by the creators.
- I also animated some of the comics. I cut out the assets I need to move in Photoshop and animate them in After Effects. 3
- I edited the animated comics in premiere pro, including the sound.
- Created engagement posts for their social media pages.
MAY 2023 STORYBOARD ARTIST, “THE MOONSONS“ PROMO, CANDY CASTLE ANIMATION
- I storyboarded a yet-to-be released promo for the upcoming animated preschool series “The Moonsons”.
- I was given a script broken down into scenes, along with notes about the characters personalities, and created detailed storyboards for the animatic.
- I drew all the storyboards in procreate on my iPad with an Apple Pen.
- I would also send them to the directors via whatsapp for feedback.
JANUARY – MARCH 2023 CREATIVE INTERN, RPS PALLETS
- I created a 2-minute animated video for RPS to promote their customer service.
- This was part of Teesside University’s Graduate Internship Program.
- I designed and animated the entire video remotely while keeping my client posted with updates via meetings, email and WhatsApp.
- The video mixes 2D and 3D animation. The pallets were animated in 3D then composited over the 2D backgrounds.
