• Till operation: Scanning items, using the cash register, and processing card or cash payments accurately.
• Stock control: Unpacking deliveries, rotating items by date, and restocking shelves.
• Customer care: Greeting local shoppers, answering questions, and keeping the shop floor friendly and welcoming.
• Store upkeep: Sweeping floors, wiping counters, and taking out rubbish to keep the small space clean.
• Communication: Being polite, clear, and friendly when talking to people.
• Basic math: Giving correct change and counting till floats quickly.
• Reliability: Showing up on time for early opening or late closing shifts.
