I am a highly motivated scientist with advanced postgraduate training in Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics, combined with extensive laboratory experience across NHS clinical diagnostics, molecular pathology, toxicology, and biochemical analysis. My expertise spans pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), drug metabolism (DMPK), ADME processes, PBPK modelling, enzyme-mediated toxicity, and analytical quantification of small molecules and biological systems. I have strong practical and theoretical experience in molecular pathology and genetic diagnostics gained at King's College Hospital London, where I supported the diagnosis of inherited haematological and genetic disorders including sickle cell disease, thalassaemia, haemoglobinopathies, and hereditary haemochromatosis.

This includes hands-on experience in DNA-based diagnostic workflows, quality control systems, and UKAS ISO 15189-compliant laboratory practice. My research background includes animal disease models, confocal microscopy, histological analysis, ImageJ quantitative imaging, and metabolic pathway investigation. I work within the Molecular Pathology Department supporting genetic diagnosis of inherited haematological and metabolic disorders. I process a wide range of clinical specimens, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with UKAS ISO 15189 standards. I am responsible for sample reception, accessioning, identification, labelling, processing, and preparation of EDTA blood samples for molecular testing.

I maintain accurate records using LIMS and ensure strict adherence to SOPs, infection control, COSHH regulations, and data protection requirements. I support diagnostic pathways for sickle cell disease, alpha and beta thalassaemia, haemoglobinopathies, hereditary haemochromatosis, and other genetic disorders, contributing to carrier screening, antenatal testing, confirmatory diagnosis, and clinical reporting workflows.
