In my 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Planning Technician, I have successfully carried out development management duties and responsibilities. This includes the discharge of the Falkland Islands Government Planning Ordinance 1991 in assessing householder/minor applications, writing delegated and committee reports, presenting casework at planning committee meetings, and providing pre-application advice. To date, I have also been responsible for the day-to-day administration of departmental work, including responding to queries from the public and conducting consultations on all planning applications and validations.

My ability to understand development management processes, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and provide sound planning judgment has consistently resulted in improved planning service delivery and enhanced community engagement.
