As store colleague I worked in a small team, providing good customer service in a fast paced environment. My responsibilities were to greet and assist customers through their store visit, Engaging with every customer, and using strong product knowledge to provide informed and tailored recommendations based on their needs and lifestyle, and handling transactions. I participated in regular date checking, organising and sorting stock, and maintained high levels of cleanliness throughout the store.
Optical Assistant - Specsavers - Teignmouth

During my time as an optical assistant I prided myself on high levels of customer service. Multi-tasking in a busy environment, my role included greeting and checking in patients with a happy and polite manor while helping them through their journey. Other duties included booking appointments, talking with patients via the phone, taking complaints, using equipment to preform pretests and OCT, helping pick out appropriate frames and lenses to suit the customer, and making sure the store to a high standard by cleaning daily.
As a part of the health care team, I worked closely with people of all different ages and backgrounds, I've learnt to adapt myself to be able to communicate and assist patients and customers to the best ability.
Front of House - The clipper cafe - Teignmouth

The clipper cafe is a busy, high turnover environment, so maintaining a cheerful demeanour and building strong customer relationships was a key part of the role. Working as front of house my role included hosting and barista work, waiting and bussing tables, ensuing the cafe and grounds around are kept clean and ready for the next service, providing quality dining experiences for customers.

At the lounges I was able to communicate and build strong customer relationships in a fast paced environment whilst maintening professional standards. I worked in a large team and undertaking multiple tasks, whilst training new staff and helping others. In this role I kept up to date with allergen information and training to ensure high quality food safety standards.
As a front of house member I also had barista training, bartending and cocktail training, and experience hosting. In addition I helped ensure the restaurant stayed clean throughout and after the service.

I trained other staff members on both the bar and floor service while being able to complete my own work. I often opened the restaurant and oversaw morning shifts. I assisted in cashing up and other duties the manager had, as well as maintaining regular cleaning in the morning and evening.
