With over 15 years of experience in adult acute nursing, I have developed a strong clinical background, particularly in neurosurgery. My career has given me extensive exposure to the management of complex neurological conditions, with specialist expertise in skull base and brain tumour surgery.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and have progressed from specialist nursing roles to my current position as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner trainee in Neurosurgery. Over the years, I have honed strong multitasking, teaching, and mentoring skills, supporting students and new starters to develop clinical competence and confidence. I am also trained in ILS and have a deep commitment to safe, evidence-based practice.
I am particularly passionate about medical and surgical treatments for brain tumours, and my growing interest in anaesthetic medicine stems from managing patients with facial nerve palsy and cranial nerve injuries, as well as those undergoing nerve reconstruction and transplant procedures.
Beyond my clinical work, I enjoy an active lifestyle that includes mountaineering, climbing, skiing, and long-distance cycling trips. I also have a love for funky music, which helps me maintain balance and creativity both in and outside of work.
