Ben Howells

Having just moved to the city of Aberdeen, I am seeking work to fit around my upcoming university studies.

I am approaching the workforce from a diverse range of previous experiences, having excelled in roles from Head chef, to climbing gym supervisor, to climate change researcher.

With these experiences comes an array of transferrable skills that would add value in any work place. I bring a keen eye for detail and a drive to succeed, as well as natural people skills. I am a great team player/member and leader, having gained management experience during my career as a chef.

Now, as I work towards a career change at university, I am looking for a chance to join a team and work.

Having worked 7 years in the hospitality industry working at every level in restaurant kitchens, from dishwasher to head chef, I am now working towards a career change, studying forest ecology and environmental science. I also have experience in several customer service roles, as well as climate change research experience.

Recently graduated with a first class degree in Forestry from Bangor University and will be starting an Environmental Management Masters degree in September 2024.

I have also worked and travelled around the world, learning many lessons on the job from a huge range of cultures and work styles, giving me practical applicable skills that would suit any workforce.
