From the age of 10, when I first delved into programming modifications for video games, my enthusiasm for software development has been unwavering. Over the years, I've embarked on a journey of self-teaching, mastering multiple programming languages, and immersing myself in the world of computer science. My academic achievements culminated in a Master of Engineering in Computer Science with Distinction from the University of Portsmouth, where I specialized in machine learning and data analysis.
Professionally, I've worn multiple hats. I've been an apprentice, working on PLC and SCADA systems for industrial controls automation, and a director, where I founded my own software engineering company, Wisnet Ltd. Here, I championed the development of software that modernized traditional home office protocols, notably for the U.K fire department. My expertise lies in integrating legacy systems with contemporary technologies, ensuring seamless transitions and upgrades.
Beyond my technical prowess, I pride myself on my advanced critical thinking, impeccable time management, and effective communication skills. Whether I'm presenting at trade shows or liaising with hardware partners, I approach every challenge with confidence, passion, and a 100% commitment.
Outside of the tech realm, I've showcased my dedication and versatility. I've volunteered in the Philippines, led youth groups, and even strummed my way to a Grade 5 in Electric Guitar from Trinity Rockschool. Each experience, whether technical or personal, has shaped me into a well-rounded individual, ready to tackle any challenge and contribute meaningfully to any team.
From the early stages of my career, I've been deeply involved in software development and engineering. My journey began as a Software Engineering Apprentice at Cougar Automation Ltd., where I worked extensively on PLC and SCADA systems for industrial controls automation. My responsibilities ranged from writing functional design specifications to full-stack software development using Python, JavaScript, and other technologies.
I also took on the challenge of integrating legacy electronics with modern systems.
My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish Wisnet Ltd. in Portsmouth. As a Director and Software Engineer, I developed software solutions that modernized traditional home office protocols, with a special focus on aiding the U.K fire department. This role saw me engaging with end-users for requirements, collaborating with hardware partners, and presenting our innovative solutions at trade shows and corporate meetings.
I pursued a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Portsmouth, graduating with Distinction. During this period, I specialized in machine learning and data analysis, gaining a robust understanding of project lifecycles and system architecture. My involvement with the table tennis society also honed my teamwork and leadership skills.
Prior to this, I completed a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in I.C.T at Havant And South Downs College. This program equipped me with foundational knowledge in software design and development, systems analysis, and client-side server customization, using languages and tools like VB.net, Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
