I have worked at Acres of Fun for the last 10 years. During this time, I completed my training and have been working as a level 3 practitioner for the last 8 years. I have worked with children aged 5 months – 4 years during this time, helping them reach their full potential.

Working in toddlers for the last 3 years, I have created a fun, engaging safe and secure environment where the children can develop their social skills and emotional wellbeing. I have built positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. I support students with their studies and the room senior with the running of the room.

I have a strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and have a full enhanced DBS check.

Main Duties carried out

• Supervising children in a safe nurturing environment
• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
• Supporting children with their emotional, social and physical development
• Assisting with meals and snacks, managing allergies
• Changing nappies, supporting toileting
• Role modelling positive behaviour
• Encouraging independence
• Communicating with parents, updating the on their child's development at the end of day and during parent's evenings
• Maintaining a clean, safe organised environment
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies
• Manage children's learning journeys- completing observations and next steps
• Working as part of team, and supporting/mentoring students with their learning
• Managing behaviour and supporting additional needs with the support of SENCO
• Supporting children with transitions to new rooms
• Supporting the room senior and stepping up when they are absent
• Adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies
