I’m a HCPC-registered Music Therapist with a Master’s in Music Therapy and a background in songwriting and performance. I currently work within acute mental health settings and have previously worked in medium secure forensic services, providing both individual and group music therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with complex needs. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred, and psychodynamic approaches, and I draw on additional training in Non-Violent Resistance and LGBTQ+ mental health inclusion to support diverse populations.
With experience in NHS services, residential care, and community-based programs, I’m passionate about the role of music in mental health recovery. I aim to foster safety, expression, and connection through creative therapeutic work. I also actively contribute to multidisciplinary teams, reflective practice, and service development.
I am a qualified HCPC-registered Music Therapist currently working at Hampshire and Isle Of Wight NHS Foundation Trust, with experience across NHS, forensic, residential, and community settings. My work spans acute adult psychiatry, CAMHS, medium secure forensic services, and learning disability services. I specialise in delivering individual and group music therapy using trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and person-centred approaches.
My background also includes youth engagement, creative education, and therapeutic support for vulnerable populations at Beaufort Care Group, with a strong focus on multidisciplinary collaboration and reflective practice. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults presenting with complex mental health, neurodevelopmental, and emotional needs.
I bring a flexible, compassionate, and creative approach to mental health care, drawing on diverse clinical placements, continued professional development, and a foundation in music performance and songwriting.
I hold a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from the University of the West of England, awarded with Merit in 2023. This training included clinical placements in both adult and child mental health services, with a focus on psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches. I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), with ongoing professional development in areas such as Non-Violent Resistance, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and forensic mental health care
