Bethany Cutts

My name is Bethany Cutts and I am a professional Illustrator. I have experience in meeting deadlines and gained strong organisation skills whilst undertaking my bachelor’s degree in Illustration and master’s degree in Illustration Authorial Practice, both at Falmouth University. I gained confidence in my use of colour theory, composition, ability to work independently and problem solve.

I have undertaken two ACP courses making me Adobe certified in both InDesign and Photoshop. I also have practice in Adobe Illustrator.

I have experience in working from a live brief and undertaking commissions as well as website design which helped me build my own online portfolio to showcase my work. I also have eight years of customer service experience that I believe has given me great communication skills, which has been useful when liaising with clients about layouts and designs for comissions. I know how to get my designs print ready, with working knowledge in using the correct colour modes, DPI and Adobe software for different projects.

I really enjoy the process of being given a basic outline to which I make a finished product. I am passionate about all aspects of illustration and Design; however, I am particularly enthusiastic about Children's Picture Book Illustration, Book Jacket Design and gift card design. I believe I am adaptable, and open to learning new processes. I also have a passion for photography and animation which I believe has also inspired me in my practice.

I believe I am hard working, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a team collaboratively. I am excited and ready to begin my career and would love the opportunity to work in a company where I can work creatively and share my ideas and research.
