I am an intelligent, friendly, resourceful person with over twenty years experience in customer service. I am always keen to learn new things and am good at problem solving. I have real love of performing and as well as acting in many productions I have tried my hand at presenting, stand-up, improv, presenting and quiz hosting.
I was a tour guide and performer at Granada Studios from 1997-2000, in constant interaction with the public, informing them of the history of the television company while keeping them entertained.
I worked in various bookshops from 2000-2009 including Books Etc, Borders and Waterstones. This required full customer focus and a wide breadth of knowledge.
From 2010 to the present I have been employed by Oakwood, now owned by EXPD8, as a visual merchandiser. This requires going into all kinds of shops to ensure displays are correctly maintained and goods are to plan. I was mainly focussed on the books and entertainment charts.
Over this time I have also had many freelance jobs including education-based shows with lots of audience interaction. I have worked for Footlights Theatre on their annual World Book Day schools tour and for Rent a Dinosaur doing their education-based dinosaur puppet show events.
I have a BA degree in language studies from Leeds University.
