Level 1 Children Centre Administrator at Bridlington Children's Centre (2023-11 – Present)
I have been working in reception for the Children's Centre for nearly 3 years. In this time I have improved previous skills I already had, as well as learning new ones. My responsibilities include; room bookings, imputting data, speaking to clients on the phone, liasoning with managers about upcoming event, supporting families when needed and directing them to the correct support team, ordering supplies and speaking to suppliers and other tasks that members of staff may need help with such as organising information for the current what's on or printing.
I have developed my skills using microsoft word and excel. As well as this I have had to learn multiple new softwares that the centre use to track sessions and when ordering/receipting orders. From working here I have really improved my computer knowledge as well as constant communication with members of the public.
I believe I can use my face to face social skills, my clear communication over the phone and computer skills within this job
Kitchen Shift Leader at JD Wetherspoon (2011-06 – 2024-05)
Prior John Wetherspoons for nearly thirteen years. My job encompasses cross training in numerous areas including: front of house, which involves; customer service, cash handling, and cleaning tables. I also work in the kitchens; using the fryers, working on the grills, putting away the delivery, rearranging the fridges and freezers, making sure the book is up to date, e.g. writing the day's wastage and all cleaning and hygiene involved.
As well as doing everyday task, as a Team Leader I also manage and run shifts, organise breaks and coordinating the staff whilst they are on their work stations. Other tasks I undertake are making staff rotas, making food specials and making food orders so I use the computer on a regular bases. I have also cleaned the pub on a morning and night which included vacuuming and setting the tables.
School Volunteer at Various (2018-11 – Present)
I also have 2 years work experience in 2 local nurseries and 6 months in a local primary school; Burlington junior school, Butts Close and Gable House nursery. I am currently volunteering at Nafferton Primary School and have been since November 2018.
