My name is Bruce Walker, and I am a driven young professional with experience across a range of industries with skills in data management, CRM, gin production,
enablement and sales.
I recently won Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Business Connect awards and was listed as the youngest 35 under 35 businesspeople by Scottish Business Insider. I also have a black belt in judo and have a deep appreciation for whisky, Italian food, and Mixed Martial Arts.

Apprentice Distiller at McQueen’s Gin
I joined McQueen Gin as their apprentice distiller after a 2-month spell travelling abroad in Southeast Asia. I learned the skills and craft of creating a London dry gin and then had the responsibility of all gin production processes for around 6,000 bottles a week to service orders for the supermarket chains Aldi, Sainsbury's and Morrisons.
I was solely responsible for completing the SALSA accreditation, which allows the sales of products to major supermarkets. This involved the preparation of all documentation to comply with regulations regarding health and safety and HACCP management.
2019-2020
Business Development Consultant/Data Consultant at INCo To broaden my skillset and switch workplaces I sought to learn sales skills and found work at INCo which operated a sales and marketing consultancy agency.
I spent a large portion of my day in the sales role operating HubSpot, I learned about data principles like scraping, cleansing and RPA principles. This was recognised by my employer, and I was moved into a more data-focused role and was tasked with cleansing their entire database of contacts (c 500,000) and then importing sub-sets of this database to HubSpot to act as a central hub for any upcoming campaigns.
I have a deep understanding of the HubSpot CRM system and subsequently have many transferable skills across most CRM systems. I have recently completed the HubSpot Marketing Software certification.
2020 – Present
Data Specialist at RW Associates September
I joined my family’s consultancy firm after leaving INCo to pursue more opportunities within the tech and data space. I found myself mainly doing recovery work and specialised projects initially for clients in the engineering space.
There was an error with data within the time sheets as staff had inputted the information incorrectly for the entire time the NetSuite system was in place (roughly 4 years). NetSuite had insufficient mass editing tools for swapping data from one place to another.
I was brought in to avoid the expensive option of manually moving data. The solution that I implemented was an RPA program to move data on each timesheet. This saved the company around £20,000. The RPA program used for this was UIVisionPath.
I am highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and have developed a set of macros that I use to accelerate the work that allows me to process complex data at high speeds and prepare it to import into various systems including NetSuite and HubSpot.
Founder of Purist Gin June 2020 – Present
I started my own gin business during lockdown that has gone on to become an internationally recognised gin with exports to the Far East and many awards from different global organisations.
I work in the business full time during busy periods and supplement the down periods with data consultancy to accelerate our growth into the whisky industry.
The achievements to date highlight my focus on commercial and financial objectives. I am a result-driven person with a keen eye for saving and making money and understand the stress and strains of operating a business.
I have structured my business to give me the maximum flexibility to step away and work on other projects while it still operates.
