Guidance Counselor: Vandebilt Catholic High School
Returning from the United Kingdom, I took up a job at Vandebilt Catholic High School as a guidance counselor for the 8th to 11th grade students with the last names starting with the letter N to Z. Here I supported students with both academic support but also support their wellbeing in terms of relationships, family conflicts, mental health support, and general counseling when support was needed

SOCIAL WORK PLACEMENT 2: FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER, FAMILY ACTION SMALL STEPS AND PREGNANCY TO THREE
As part of my social work placement, I had done a 100-day work placement with Family Action, a UK charity, within two different agencies.
Steps agency had me supporting parents with children who had Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and any other learning disabilities. This agency had me support these families through the first third of placement. The rest of my placement was with Medway Pregnancy to Three service in which we supported parents with children from the pregnancy stage to three years old suffering form mental health issues. I was able to do direct work with moms, dads, and children, and entire families.

Social Work Placement 1, New Road Primary School
As part of my social work qualification, I had done a 70-day work placement in a school. This placement focused on doing one-to-one work with children with domestic difficulties at home. This work involved working with children to process their feelings, working with families to improve home life, promoting support and wellbeing among my coworkers, and working alongside other social workers to help improve the lives of children.

Library desk clerk, Terrebonne parish library, North and Main Branch In this role, I worked alongside my coworkers to manage and upkeep the library collections while also helping library patrons find resources they needed. I have worked in a variety departments including children’s department, adult non-fiction, genealogy, and supporting library patrons in doing research.
