Working but in my spare time I'm volunteering at Welsh mountain zoo with the keeper team.
Keen interest in reptiles but enjoy looking after animals as a whole and the experience I gain from each interaction.
During my three years at university we had an on site zoo so we would often have lectures / practical sessions within the zoo doing enclosure cleaning, enrichment making with fire hoses, health checks on the animals and during my time at Welsh mountain zoo I have gained an understanding and improment of my abilities and knowledge within this sector.
I have a degree in zoo management, which covered the important information on animal care and husbandry to parts I found interesting such as enclosure design and enrichment making.
