Completed a 4 year advanced modern apprenticeship as a Level 3 NVQ Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Technician. An honest, hardworking, detail driven worker who is always motivated to improve himself. I work very effectively within a team and hold excellent communication skills.

Currently working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with dependable and reliable expertise as a Mechanical Engineer/ Machinist. Working as a machinist has developed my production and workflow skills by meeting strict production targets and adhere to high-accuracy tolerances. I am currently seeking an opportunity to progress in a more senior role.

(Grade A) Engineer at Thyssenkrupp Rothe Erde (Roballo Engineering) (2018– Present)

• Currently work as a grade A mechanical engineer, qualified as a mechanical engineering technician.
• Served a 4 year apprenticeship studying different aspects of engineering such as mechanical maintenance (PPM's, Fault Finding, PLC's), turning, milling, gear cutting, material hardening, fitting techniques.
• Responsible for ensuring parts meet strict quality standards and tolerances, particularly for military components, under highly regulated specifications. This includes responsibility for first article inspection, meeting required specifications.
• The company produces large diameter slewing bearings for use in civil, commercial and defense systems. Produced up to 3000mm in diameter utilising Siemens 840D (powerline) control systems.
• Work on Fanuc and Siemens controls, machining components from materials such as stainless steel, high-speed steel and aluminium.
• Able to operate, set and run a number of different turning machines and machining centres such as 4 and 5 axis machines and dual head turning machines.
• Experience using a range of chucks and jaws such as magnetic chucks, hard and soft jaws, 6 jaw chucks, machined flat table fixtures and jigs.
• Set machine tooling and drills, alter offsets and programmes. Often required to programme extra operations into programs when required.
• Attend regular workshop meetings with production management staff to present ideas on how the company can save cost and time in the areas in which I work.
• Experience working with detailed engineering drawings, technical brief and SOP's.
• Follow all relevant risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with COSHH regulations when handling hazardous substances.
• Actively contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work area in line with 6S principles, report hazards promptly, and support continuous improvement initiatives to minimise risk.
