I have been a teacher for over 30 years and one of the aspects I find the most rewarding is one-to-one work, where I can really make a difference and help pupils to flourish. I most often do this in my job as Director and I think that the results of this intervention are evident in the quality of school productions. I also regularly run catch-up and one-to-one sessions with exam pupils or small groups.
I have a positive relationship with my pupils. I am organised, approachable, patient and I am genuinely interested in their welfare, lives and progress.
I would like to take my skillset and work life in a different direction but still would like to work with young people.
I am a fit and active person, I have always enjoyed cycling and since graduating to an ebike have undertaken various journeys, some over 500 miles, as solo trips and with my husband. I enjoy growing most of my own fruit and veg on my allotment which I manage organically and have built wildlife areas such as a pond into it. I love walking my dogs in the hills and countryside and I make many of my own clothes to try to reduce my carbon footprint.
