College Student - Practical Work Placement - Temple Newsham working farm

(2025-09)

During first year of college undertook a mixture of coursework and practical work. Worked with both smaller animals and reptiles in the animal center on site and larger animals such as pigs/donkeys/goats/chickens on the farm itself.

• Assisting with the animal's care
• Feeding the animal's
• Monitoring their health
• Learning how to handle/restrain animals appropriately when required
• Ensuring the animals accommodation meets hygiene standards
