Charlotte Hughes

I am a credentialed English teacher from California, now living in Europe. I love art and all forms of story-telling, and I consider myself a life-long learner. My career goal is to teach English in France. I lived in Paris and studied French for six months.

I chose to become a teacher because I wanted to work in a relational profession that centered around helping people. I find teaching so rewarding because I get to play a role another person's growth. My hope as a teacher is to inspire curiosity and confidence in my students.

I have taught English in public school at the secondary level for three years, and have worked at private tutoring centers as well.

I hold a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of California, Irvine. My credential includes an authorization to teach English Learners and an authorization to teach Art History/Appreciation.

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Chapman University.

I studied French as a Foreign Langauge at Etoile Institut de Langue in Paris for six months and hope to continue my French studies.
