An engaging, resourceful, and collaborative Library Assistant seeking a position that will utilise both professional communicative skills and an outgoing personality developed through past work experiences. An organisational understanding and a customer-focused attitude to work with a determination that follows through to completion. In my current role, key management skills have been executed through strong knowledge of the range of services and information to support students, staff, and professional services while ensuring a concisely high level of service from across the board.
I have experience in Libraries, IT and Customer Service. My current role is as a Tier 1 Library Assistant which include promoting and increasing engagement for the library through day-to-day tasks such as book processing, cataloguing, shelving, and counter work. As well as aiding customers with PC support, archives and history information and running visa appointments, always offering support for students and other members of staff when needed.
In addition to this I have key IT experience, this role consisted of using informational technological skills to analyse and transfer key company data and records to achieve an effective digital document storage system. Involving translating differing research and information strategies into operational plans.
As well as Customer Serviced based experience which focused on monitoring service demand and quality while planning for sustainable service development where necessary. Key tasks included contributing to and leading approved projects within a specified time frame and budget. Maintaining good knowledge and understanding of key skills and practices for development with both customers and other professional bodies.
My most relevant education stems from my 2.1 degree in English Literature and Criminology with Criminal Justice, as well as A levels in English Literature, Sociology and Applied Business Studies. I have also completed courses in Early Years training, Customer Care standards and Enquiry Skills.
