I have worked in costume for 2 years, carrying out jobs for Film and TV, working alongside productions such as Netflix, BBC, and Sky.
For the duration of this time I have gained many skills including; styling, fitting, dressing, alterations, breakdown, working with stunts and many more soft skills.
I aim to continue developing my knowledge further by trying out new sectors such as styling for Fashion events and personal styling. I have achieved an extended diploma studying Fashion Design at Fashion Retail Academy in London, where I learnt to build my portfolio, pattern cut, study Designers and communicate styling throughout.
I am a hard working individual who works well under pressure, especially in a fast pace working environment. I have excellent communication qualities, and I am confident in my ability to work independently, but also value myself as a team player. I especially like to push myself to excel in all areas, and i am not afraid to take risks.
I obtain a full UK driving license.
My working years have purely been based on striving for success, a career is very important to me and I want to progress in something that I love and am passionate about.
Working in Costume for Film & TV has not only taught me practical skills, it has also allowed me to develop my personal skills such as, working closely with Designers, buyers and constantly working with new colleagues. I love to meet new people and have a clear understanding of reading a room. When given a task I will complete make sure to go above and beyond to not only complete it but assure it meets the given brief.
I am excellent at leading a team, and assuring all aspects of the working environment are organised, and easy for everyone to access accordingly.
After studying textiles for GCSE and achieving a Distinction, I then went onto further my fashion knowledge at College where i studied a three year Fashion Design course, achieving an Extended Diploma at a grade Merit.
Once I finished college I made sure to find a career doing what I love, and that's when I began working as a Costume Standby working on set, maintaining the costumes and also carrying out appropriate fittings approved by the current Designer running the department.
