A teaching assistant / sports coach / PE assistant with 2 years of experience working in a school setting assisting young students in classrooms with reading, writing, spelling, maths, science, and a variety of PE activities. During my university studies, I learned vital information about child development, teaching tactics, and behaviour management. Having the opportunity to work in a work placement helped me to plan sessions, control classroom conduct, and support students in producing their best work.
I was coaching with young people before becoming a teaching assistant / mentor, and as a result, I gained a unique ability to assess problems in young people's lives, allowing me to create appropriate needs to support children in all aspects of their lives.
I had the honour of attending St Mary's University, where I was enrolled in the Chelsea Football Foundation coaching and development programme. I was able to learn important skills about sports coaching, player development, and managing tough behaviours. I was given the opportunity to work in schools as a sports teacher, which allowed me to get experience working with both children and adults.
