I would bring to this job my many year’s experience of working in the retail management position,i have experience of managing staff, including recruiting, performance and dealing with disciplinary situations.I have experience of working to income and expenditure targets, i have excellent people management skills, the ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and members of the public, I have the ability to build and maintain postive working relationships with a variety of people, both paid and voluntary, i have the ability to work on my own initiative and as part of a team, i have excellent organisational skills and business acumen, i am self- motivated with a flexible, positive and resilient attitude, i have knowledge of Health & Safety issues in the retail environment, also knowledge of the issues relating to recruiting and retaining volunteers. i have the ability to work on my own initiative, accurately and under pressure, i am a confident communicator, and i have good organisational skills, i also ensure a standard of excellence is maintained at all times regarding customer service and support care. Since leaving ST Margaret’s Hospice I have been doing some voluntary work at the PDSA shop in and the RSPCA shop at Williton which I really enjoy and I find it very rewarding.

As shop manager of ST Maragret’s Hospice Shop i had to organise staff and volunteer’s rota’s to ensure that the shop was adequately staffed at all time’s in order to comply with the trading policy.
