I finished my A levels June 2025 – gaining 3 solid C grades in Maths, Statistics and Psychology. Whilst studying I was able to gain strong reasoning skills and become an effective problem solver. I discovered I enjoy working in a systematic and logistical manner.

Since exams, I have continued to pick up more hours in my part time jobs. I am an excellent team player who is hardworking, honest and always keen to learn and develop new skills. My plan whilst working was to save for travelling.

My trips so far, have included Morrocco, Tenerife as well as three weeks interrailing around Europe visiting 11 amazing countries. Travelling has allowed me to create incredible memories whilst meeting real characters. Working in event hosting has given me hands-on experience with the practical side of managing money — checking spend against budgets, keeping track of stock and liaising with suppliers to make sure costs stayed under control.

I genuinely enjoy the numbers side of the job: spotting where we've overspent, establishing why and figuring out how to work more efficiently. This sparked my interest in Accounting as a career. I want to move from informally tracking costs to properly understanding how businesses manage their finances — budgeting, reporting and financial control done to a professional standard.

An apprenticeship or trainee role appeals to me because it allows me to build that technical knowledge (working towards a recognised qualification) whilst continuing to learn in a real workplace, the way I learned best in my event hosting role. I'm organised, comfortable working to deadlines and used to taking responsibility for accuracy, whilst working under pressure. I'm looking for the chance to develop these skills further in a structured finance environment and to build a long-term career.

Events host at a variety of events - Volksweald Festival and weddings

• A key player in set up and strike down
• Kept track of costs across different events, building a good understanding of budgeting and basic financial reporting

• Performed cash reconciliations by independently double-counting daily cash takings to ensure accuracy

Waitressing at The Chaser Inn (2023-08 – 2024-06)

• Served as a dedicated and enthusiastic waitress during weekends taking food and drink orders as well as serving guests

• Worked as a collaborative team member to achieve the highest level of customer service
• Engaged with the guests and colleagues improving my communication skills
