Danah Omar Mahmod

I am an 18 year old student from Chelsea, currently studying Film, Media and Economics for A Levels. I believe these courses will help me in my pursuit of a digital marketing profession. Over the past several years, l've experienced a wide range of things.

For example, helping at my local youth club has given me access to chances and experiences that I would not have otherwise had. For instance, I received an opportunity to serve as a paid Panel representative for a year at the Earls Court Development Company. In this role, I would propose new development sites in Earls Court and represent the youth of my borough.

This then allowed me to gain a week's worth of work experience at an architect firm in Hackney, where I was taught various office skills such as data organisation, problem solving, and presenting to a group of architects. I also have made art for my youth club's monthly magazine which allowed for my artwork to be presented to a range of people which also led to me winning a drawing competition. It was later featured on a hoarding board outside West Brompton Station.

Additionally, I won first place as a model in a photography competition, which was later purchased by one of the award ceremony guests and led to being scouted by a modelling agency. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with London Film Academy on producing and directing a short film about how quarantine affected young adults, which allowed me to develop my editing skills in a more general manner.
